Darren is the Petter I send to the homes that need a little extra understanding. The rescue dog who hides for two days. The cat who has decided all humans are suspicious. He never rushes them, never takes it personally, and somehow by the second evening they're sitting at his feet.
He is also the most unconventional person I know — which is exactly why it works. He talks to the animals. He learns their names for things. He notices when something is slightly off, and tells me before it becomes a problem.
